Future episodes
There are many more Personal Information Management (PIM) concepts I would like to share with you in future episodes.One of these is the Document Locator concept, making it possible to identify every single document (and even page) in your hard copy and electronic document PIM environment.
In another future episode I want to explore the Project Log system based on excel, for maintaining lists with: action items, waiting for items, references, etc. The Project Log system relies on Tracking Number, Pile-File and Document Locator ideas.
In the Productivity Tips series you have often heard me refer to ‘Getting Things Done’ methodologies (commonly abbreviated as GTD) created by David Allen. I am also planning to make a special episode where I try to show how concepts given on my website can be used together with GTD.
To help you facilitate working with the described concepts I have many recommendations on how to make use of (free) applications like e.g: Auto Hot Key, Ditto, Launchy, Fineprint and many more. One or more of the future episodes will show how these applications can save you a lot of time.
